The Stage is designed for riders looking for a marathon or XC race bike without the skittish, nervous ride associated with many other bikes in this category.

With our race tested and proven geometry we have lengthened the reach and slackened the head angle of the Stage frame. This allows for a shorter stem and wider bars to be fitted, improving stability and technical handling compared with conventional marathon bikes. This new twist on marathon geometry gives the bike maximum stability at speed, during cornering and on steep technical descents. The finely balanced leverage ratio and anti-squat characteristics of the suspension system offer a compliant feel with minimal energy loss while pedaling and allows the bike to climb among the best in its class due to its leading rear wheel traction. Ahead of its time, it has proven to be a race winning marathon and cross country beast, being piloted to 1st African team at the ABSA Cape Epic 2017 and 7th overall as well as winning the Queen Stage of the Cape Epic in 2019.

The proprietary Plus Five chain line is an industry first and is essentially an adjustment to rear wheel centre-line, which shifts the rear end of the frame 5mm towards the drive side and changes the chain-line from 49mm to 44mm – something that, until now, has not changed since the days of 8 and 9 speed cassettes. Additionally this addresses the uneven rear wheel dish, improving wheel strength and stiffness. Simply put, the chain line on the 12th gear (easiest gear, largest cog) on a Plus Five frame is equivalent to the chain line on the 10th gear of a regular frame – reducing wear and improving shifting performance. We are the only company to have come up with and implement this for production bikes.
